We returned for this year's Annual Easter Baskets initiative for a second year in a row! Last year, we reached 70 children. This year, thanks to all of the phenomenal support from local heroes like Stevie, Julie, Lisa, Joleen, and their team at the Walmart @ University Town Center in Morgantown, we brought 200 baskets!
As safety is of the utmost importance, especially in today's times, the NWV RR Chapter steps up in our community for the Halloween festivities to allow the children of our community to bring their best costumes and tricks while being gifted with treats. Stay tuned to for details of our next pop-up location in October!
'Tis the season to support our children. Though we are all created equal, NWV RR understands that we aren't all born into the same opportunities. Not all children within our community are blessed with the most joyful childhoods. Sponsoring with Angel Tree allows us to help bring a bit of Christmas joy to these children as best we can. Stay tuned to help us in this endeavor!
Spreading joy and making a difference. Each year, NWV RR partners with major companies, local business owners, and donors in the Morgantown, WV surrounding areas to visit WVU Medicine Children's Hospital to bring smiles to as many of their super patients as possible. Our goal is to surprise as many children as our support allows. We need YOUR help reaching this year's goal to gift every single child that will be there each Easter. Please reach out to support right away! Special Thanks to Walmart, Five Below, and Sam's Club!
NWV Ruff Ryders support those who put it all on the line for us, day in and day out. We support our local Law Enforcement. Special Thanks to the Morgantown Police Department!
NWV Ruff Ryders support those who put it all on the line for us, day in and day out. We support our local Fire Fighters. Special Thanks to the Fairmont Fire Department!
NWV RR has partnered with Stepping Stones to help their initiative in providing year round recreation and education for the children and adults in our community that have intellectual and physical disabilities.
Our community service focus is year round. Whether it's raising funds or gathering resources to donate, tagging along on group rides raising awareness, or simply lending a hand, or few, to help out with community events, one thing is for sure, if we CAN help, the Northern West Virginia Ruff Ryders absolutely WILL. Even in the summer, you can find us collaborating with other groups and even community pioneers such as Mr. Dorian James, himself. Click our "Get In Touch" link to reach us and discuss how we can help, and maybe even how YOU can help!
This is not gimmick for us. This is a Lifestyle. We genuinely care about our community in every aspect. Our goal is to find the gaps and to fill them as best we can. If you don't happen to see us at the "big events", you can likely find us delivering comfort to the Sick and Shut-In at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV.
We are also there for the trying times... the moments where every minute counts. With permission from her loved ones, we would like to pay tribute to Elaine. Our Chapter's very own, Zaida, visited Elaine for weeks, at WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV. Zaida would make sure Elaine's nails were freshly polished as this always brought her joy, up until she earned her wings.
